According to the City of Boryeong and Daecheon Resort, Seohee Construction (President: Lee Bong-gwan) was designated as the preferential bidder for the 11-story condo (with 100 guestrooms), with ancillary facilities (such as rail biking facilities and a spa), in Myeongcheon-dong, Boryeong (at the foot of Mt. Okma), on November 27.

   The condo commands a nice view of the nearby golf course and the West Sea. It will be equipped with a wellness center, a sky garden, a water park, and a seminar facility.

At a nearby site, a 9-hole public golf course is being built by Samsung Everland and is scheduled for completion by June 2011.

Daecheon Resort was established in December 2007 as a joint venture participated in by the Mine Reclamation Corporation (20 billion won), the City of Boryeong (15 billion won) and Kangwon Land (15 billion won) in a bid to help reinvigorate previous coal mine sites through alternative industries.
