Introduction to KOTIC

It is expected that the number of both Koreans and foreigners visiting in Korea will continue to increase despite flailing global demand and the adoption of the 5-day workweek system. However, the current sluggishness in developing tourism sites is expected to hinder the attraction of prospective visitors. To rectify this problem, the KOTIC has agreed to take over tourist site/complex development projects from both the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and local administrative units to breathe new life in to the industry.
