Ulsan


GANJEOGOT
Ulsan is filled with many sunrise-welcoming places to experience the beauties of natural scenery. The thick fir wood and oddly-shaped rocks form a basis for a white lighthouse that stands atop the shore. Near Ganjeolgot, there is a beach called Jinha Haesuyok, where you can view both the blue ocean and the rise of the morning sun. There are also a number of nearby attractions.

DAEWONGAM PARK
Ulgi Park is a seaside park located on the east coast, and has a walkway, and Daewongam’s refreshing scenery. Ulgi Park has a pine forest trail path, about 1km long, going from the parking lot right up to the seashore. The forest is considered one of the great Haesong forests, and during the walk you can see cherry blossoms, magnolias, camellias, apricots, and forsythias, which make the road very beautiful in the spring.

JANGSAENGPO WHALE MUSEUM
Jangsaengpo served as the outpost for whaling in Korea until whaling was banned in 1986, and this museum is the only whale museum. The museum provides information on whales, how they traveled, and actual lives of whales.

Masan

DOLSEOM AMUSEMENT PARK
One of Masan’s most famous attractions, this park is located on a small but lovely island called Dolseom, situated next to the city in the ocean. From there, Masan can be seen settled within the flanks of Muhaksan, a mountain which got its name because it looks like a crane spreading its wings. You can also see Jeodo Yeonnyukgyo, a bridge that connects the island to the mainland.

JEODO YEONNYUKGYO
The Jeodo Yeonnyukgyo is 182 meters long, 13 meters wide, and a has two lanes. Both cars and persons can cross this bridge, which was designed to look like a seagull and blend in with the beautiful surrounding land formations. To emphasize the beauty of its curves, optical cable lighting with colors was installed. At night these light up at brilliant different intervals of time.

SANHO PARK
A walk through Sanho Park is also called the “poetry walk” because many poems of poets who lived in Masan are engraved here and Tablets commemorate poets and lyricists. Every year in early October, Masan’s Chrysanthemum Festival takes place in this area.

MUNSIN ART MUSEUM
This museum is located in Chusandong, Masan and displays about 290 different pieces of work, including sculptures, oil paintings and drawings of the globally recognized sculptor Munsin. Munsin’s work was also exhibited in Germany for the 2006 World Cup games.
