* Deogyusan Mountain National Park |

Deogyusan Mountain (1,614m) is famous for its distinct features in each of the 4 seasons, especially for its breathtaking snow-scapes. Not surprisingly, this mountain is one of the most favorite locations for photo taking or for filming. If you get off from a Gondola at a height of 1,522m from Seolcheon Peak and walk 20 minutes, then you will reach Hyangjeokbong peak.
Nearby famous mountains including Mt. Gaya, Jiri and Gyerong can be seen at a glance from the top of Deogyusan Mountain. The widespread trees covered with snow add more attraction to this mountain. A climbing course from the top to Gucheon-dong Valley is highly recommended for climbers. Free shuttle buses are operated for the convenience of climbers who opt to take this course, too.
Since Deogyusan Mountain receives much snow, crampons are a must. |
