Ecological Environment Tour (Travel Time: 3 hours 30 minutes)
Daecheongho Lake is the third largest lake in Korea. The lake is a popular driving course, surrounded by trees and mountains rising 200 to 300 meters above sea level. Migratory birds flock to this area. In summer, you can easily spot Ardeidaes species (herons, egrets, and bitterns) in the upper lake region. Climb up to the observatory for a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
Daecheongho Natural Ecology Center
Daecheongho Natural Ecology Center provides information about the ecosystems of Daecheongho Lake. The center displays 3-D images and specimens of the flora and fauna inhabiting the lake region. The outdoor space features an ecological pond, small zoo, wildflower garden, and an observatory overlooking the Daecheongho Lake.
