Yongpyong is set in unspoiled
environs some 700-1,500m above sea level. They do
Alpine, Nordic and new-school skiing here, plus
snowboarding. The TV drama Winter Sonata, so popular
around Asia, was shot here. A new feature is Dragon
Park (Terrain Park), a theme park with half-pipe,
quarter-pipe, ramp, table top, spine, wash board,
rail slider, mogul, and wave. The resort also holds
the Fun Ski & Snow Festival every year in partnership
with the Korea Tourism Organization.
