Movie Theaters print

An evening at the movies has long been a part of entertainment in Korea. Today, cinemas can be found in major urban areas throughout the country . These are either multiplex chains with several screens or independently-run theaters. Some of the larger operators are CGV, Megabox, and Lotte Cinema. These theaters offer wide screens and state-of-the-art audio facilities. On the other hand, the independent theaters have decades of history and bring a flair of nostalgia for older customers. Movie theaters are located in commercial centers with department stores, shops and restaurants, so moviegoers can also enjoy shopping and other activities.

Particulars : The Large plaza in front of the movie theater is used as a meeting place.

Take Subway line #5 to Gwanghwamun Station, go out Exit #6 and walk for four minutes.

How to Get There : Take line #4 to Hyehwa Sation, go out Exit #1 and walk towards the Hyehwa Rotary. It takes two minutes by foot.
Particulars :
 This theater is the first experimental theater in the country. Screening room one offers free coffee.

CGV Gangbyeon
Location : 10th Floor of Techno Mart at 596-4 Guuidong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul

Megabox Cineplex

Particulars :
 There are 16 screens offering a wide variety to choose from.

How to Get There : Take Seoul Subway line #3 to the Express Bus Terminal, go out Exit #7 and walk 5 minutes. It is in the Central City basement.

CGV Incheon
