During the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea (May 12th - August 12th), Namhae County will operate passenger ships that will allow visitors to travel from Namhae in Gyeongsangnam-do Province to Yeosu in only 30 minutes.
The four passenger ships connecting Namhae Seosanghang Port and Yeosu will make 15 round trips daily. As it normally takes an hour and a half to get to Yeosu from Namhae by car, visitors can save about an hour by taking the passenger ship.
An added benefit of taking the ferry from Namhae is that passengers will be able to conveniently enter the Yeosu Expo venue, which is connected directly to the Yeosu Port Passenger Terminal. For this reason, finding accommodation in Namhae could be a good option for travelers who want to visit the Yeosu Expo.
