Cheongdo-gun County in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province will hold its annual Bullfighting Festival from April 18th through the 22nd.
The highlight of the festival is the bullfighting competition. Dozens of bulls, which have qualified through the regional elimination rounds, will engage in one-on-one duels at the famous Sossaum (Bullfighting) Stadium for the championship title along with other great prizes. Additionally, the festival will host games of tug-of-war between bulls and humans, tour of traditional cowsheds, photo contest and exhibition, as well as diverse performances.
Meanwhile, the Cheongdo Bullfighting Festival has been selected as one of the “50 beautiful places to visit in Korea” by CNNGo.
