Visitors to the Sky Tower during the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea period (May 12 - August 12) will receive a free souvenir cup, with which they can try purified seawater at the seawater desalination facility located inside the Sky Tower.
As the tallest structure at the Yeosu Expo site, the Sky Tower was built with two abandoned silos: one is turned into a desalination facility, while the other a multimedia exhibition hall. The Tower also has a pipe organ, which has earned the Guinness World Record for the Loudest Pipe Organ, on the exterior, and an observatory, which offers a panoramic view of the Yeosu Expo site, downtown Yeosu, Odongdo Island, and coastal waters, on top.
